AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. (AFSI) is a New York City-based small business insurance company with 56 corporate offices across the globe.
They offer a plethora of insurance solutions for their customers, but their main focus is on small business insurance solutions with a stranglehold on workers’ compensation insurance.
AmTrust Financial was founded in 1998 and used innovative quoting applications to explode the company’s growth. My team was tasked with a global redesign of their internal applications to help streamline the agent’s quoting process. As my team got to work we (quickly) realized that the interfaces were frozen in time; some had not been revised since AmTrust’s inception. My challenges included renovating, updating and improving outdated workflows to create an easier quoting path for agents.
AmTrust’s agents are one of the most essential components to generating insurance sales and maintaining customers. Our goal was to streamline the experience, soothe pain points, and provide the agents with necessary tools to secure and manage their clients.
We successfully created a better user experience that had clear organization, straightforward flows, and a clean, intentional interface. By removing unneeded steps and defining the users’ potential journeys of creating a quote, Nexus is now a potent tool for AmTrust's agents. The redesign on average saved users approximately 20 minutes of time for each quote.
