Some Background.

AFSI’s agent workflows were severely antiquated and in desperate need of a design facelift. Because there were design and development teams simultaneously working on several projects and implementation, we needed a way to be on the same page in an efficient way.

Project Scope.

The Design Rulebook

As a designer on a front-end development team building out several applications, I worked to create a system of guidelines, principles, and assets to establish universal consistency amongst all AFSI applications. This would severely improve the process of AFSI designers and front-end developers.

The system was not only informative, but interactive as well. Developers and designers could preview functionality through the system to ensure that they are getting the full context of the component.

Constant and never-ending improvment.

Cover design system evolved into a user-friendly guide and was adopted across the application board. The system is constantly evolving, and the focus was on adding essential ui components as they were integrated into AFSI's applications.

Consistency is key.

The goal of each designer is to provide the same usability experience for all users, regardless of device, disability, or operating system. Using WCAG, research, and testing, my team successfully created this system. By eliminating ambiguity and establishing consistency, Cover has streamlined and optimized AFSI agent and user workflows.
